Bedroom Decor Mini Haul

The whole city is full of sales at this time of year and as hard as I try to save my money I just can't walk past a good sale. As I was out shopping I noticed Dusk was having a two day sale where everything in the store was buy two get one free - and I went a bit crazy. The first things I bought were two tin candles from their 'Destinations' range. I bought 'Acapulco', a fruity guava scent, and 'Florence', a beautiful sweet sparkling bellini scent.

The next thing I picked up was this pretty trio candlelight holder. The photo really doesn't do this justice, as the three candlelight holders are crystals shaped like diamonds, set onto a mirror plate, edged with more tiny crystals. I think it's so gorgeous and it sparkles beautifully when the candles are lit.

I also bought this cute little melting pot and some melts in the scent 'Strawberry Milkshake'. This is my favourite Dusk scent hands down, it smells amazing.

The next place I visited was Myers (This is the Australian equivalent of Macy's or Bloomingdales) where they were having a midyear clearance, and I picked up this beautiful Royal Albert floral frame I've had my eye on for half price, score!

Last of all I picked up this adorable floral flannelette sheet set from Spotlight.

Jeffery Campbells Find

While shopping in Leederville last week I found a cute little store called Yoyo Buffalo. The store sells men's and women's clothing and is pretty unique, I picked up a couple of rockabilly/pin up style skirts, some cute cardigans and a lightweight floral dress.

Just as I was paying for my items I noticed a pair of quirky bright green leopard print boots that really stood out to me as "looking like something Jeffrey Campbell designed". As it turns out, they were indeed Jeffrey Campbells, and in my size too!

The sales assistant also showed me the only other pair of JC's they had, which was this black pair of kitten heels that went perfectly with my rockabilly skirts. I normally despise kitten heels, and generally if the heel on a shoe is any more or less than six inches I won't go anywhere near it. But these were JC's, and they were cute and cheap! They only knocked me back about sixty dollars.

If anyone knows what year or collection these are from, I would love to know.

Lush Party

This month I celebrated my 17th birthday in a very special way - at Lush Cosmetics! Myself and nine of my beautiful friends had the entire Perth store to ourselves, where we spent the night playing with products and being pampered.

There were three stations set up around the room; the first was the facial treatment station, where one of the lovely Lush employees would ask you about your skin and decided on the best products to use, then gently took off your makeup, cleansed, toned, and moisturised your skin with soothing facial massage - so relaxing!

The second was the hand treatment station, where you got to pick your favourite of the many deliciously scented massage bars, and had your hands and arms treated to a deep, soothing massage.

The third station was very unique; you were guided by a Lush employee to a colour wheel for an 'Emotional Brilliance reading', and told to close your eyes and imagine you were in a room that was completely white. Then, you were asked to open your eyes and point to the first three colours that stood out to you. Those colours were then flipped to reveal a word to show your subconscious reasoning for choosing them. Weird, right? I first chose a bright pink, or 'passionate' which meant I was passionate about something. I then chose a deep purple, or 'drive', which meant I needed to move forward and make things happen. The third colour I chose was a bright blue, or 'calm', which meant that I was feeling a need for calm in my life. The amusing thing is that half of the other girls chose this same colour, probably because we've all just finished our exams!

We were also each given a free Fresh Face Mask pot to take home (yay!) and a little goodie bag with some samples and pamphlets. The girls each picked out a few of their favourite products from the night to purchase, too, and we headed home feeling lovely and smelling amazing.

The best part about being an Aussie lushie is that Christmas comes TWICE a year! In July, we get to celebrate a short-lived, miniature come back of some of the amazing Christmas themed products that come out each year in November. So, since is was my birthday, I  stocked up on two of my favourites from the Christmas collection; Snow Fairy and Candy Mountain.

I also picked up Blackberry Bath Bomb, Honey Bee Bath Bomb and Sex Bomb Bath Bomb, as well as a pot of Hair Doctor to try out.
